Belonging to a house is an integral part of being a Georgian. Alexander House is the first of four houses, and one in which every girl is not only given the opportunity, but also actively encouraged to take part in all House events. These include the inter-house competitions - house music, declamation, swimming and tennis. Through working towards these competitions every girl is given the chance to flourish.

The students' enthusiastic participation in House events is always really admirable. The girls work really hard for the House and enjoy all the excitement that inter-house competitions create. Drama and Sport, Music and General Knowledge ........ the girls in Alexander give their all, year after year, in everything that they do.

Of course this also means a lot of hard work and organisation; but hopefully parents see some of the talent when girls perform brilliant entertainment for parents at our Annual House Party. Drinks and dinner is always followed by outstanding musical performances from a wide variety of ages. The 6th Form also perform a special item!

In Alexander House we reward those who are hard working and passionate at both their most favoured competitions (be they sport or dramatics) and also the areas they are less able in, showing a commitment to the house and their fellow members. A keen sense of competition is definitely recommended!
