GCSE Curriculum (for 4th and 5th years)

GCSE examinations are taken at the end of the 5th year, when girls are 15-16 years old (ie the equivalent of years 10 and 11). Most girls take ten or eleven subjects at GCSE. Everyone takes English and English Literature, Mathematics, Science (either Core and Additional, or three single Sciences), a modern foreign language (usually French) and a humanity (Geography, History or Religious Studies).  All girls also take Business & Communications Systems

All girls who do not choose Religious Studies have one period of General RS each week.
Everyone also has 2 double periods of Physical Education per week.
