1st - 3rd YEARS

All girls have a double period of ICT each week. In the first three years the following topics are covered:

1st Year:

Introduction to school network, basics of word processing (Microsoft Word) and spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), keyboard skills. 
Entry for OCR Initial Text Processing.
2nd Year:

DTP with Microsoft Word, further work on Microsoft Excel, further keyboard skills. 
Entry for Unit 1 and Unit 2 in the OCR New Clait scheme.
3rd Year:

Continue with OCR New Clait  units (e-Presentation, Databases, e-Publication).
Begin on practical skills required for AQA GCSE Business and Communication Systems.

4th Year

All girls take Business and Communication Systems as part of the core GCSE curriculum. 

ICT in the Sixth Form
 In the Lower Sixth girls continue to improve and practise their ICT skills.  They have one period of ICT each week as long as it can fit into their timetable.  Modules in the OCR CLAIT Plus scheme are taken, including Integrated e-Document Production and Design an e-Presentation.
