The foreign languages taught as part of the standard timetable at St George's are French and Spanish. However, it is possible to arrange individual private lessons in other languages where there is a special request.

Frequently, for example, a girl whose mother tongue is not English wishes to get a GCSE or A-level qualification in her own language. In that case, she will need to have lessons to prepare her for the type of exam paper she will be faced with.

Girls who have begun to study a foreign language other than French, or Spanish at another school sometimes also wish to continue their studies in the language when they arrive at St George's.

Foreign languages which are being studied now - or have been in the recent past - include: Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), German, Italian, Japanese and Russian.
