Georgian stars in new BBC Drama
Aspiring young actress, Manpreet Bambra (Class of 2011) will be playing a lead role in a new 'gritty' teenage drama due to be aired on CBBC on Tuesday 6 December.
Blackburn wins the Double
Jenny Blackburn in the Lower Sixth, this week triumphed in both the Ascot Rotary Club Schools Public Speaking competition and the English Speaking Union Schools Mace Debate.
Update from the Friends of St George's
The Friends of St George’s raises funds each year for the School and also for charitable causes.
Operation Christmas Child
In response to this term’s appeal for Christmas boxes, initiated by the Third Years, we achieved a total of nearly 70 boxes from staff and pupils alike, a highly creditable number considering this was just one of the many charities followed this term. Many thanks to the generosity of all contributors!
Booked Up
St George’s has joined forces with Booked Up, the national programme run by the independent charity Booktrust, which aims to encourage First Year pupils to read for pleasure.
House Netball 2011
As the winter nights draw in, the skies around St George’s were lit up by the annual House Netball Competition.

Parents, staff and students had a wonderful evening at the Alexander House Party on Saturday 12 November.
Eton Play: Much Ado About Nothing
Congratulations to Fifth Years Hannah Dalton, Ellen McLaughlin and Darcy Winter, who all gave wonderful performances in the Eton College production of Much Ado.

Houses of Parliament Seminar
Fifth Year girls Madeleine Landin and Natalia Yatsenko were selected to join a seminar at the Houses of Parliament being held by the UK National Committee for the Prevention of Alcohol and Drug Dependency on 7th November.
Geography Expedition to Iceland
During half term, 15 girls met Mrs Johnson and Ms Masters at Gatwick airport to fly off to Iceland for an exciting Geography trip.
