AQA Bacc and EPQ
The AQA Baccalaureate
The Baccalaureate consists of four parts:
- Three A-levels taken with any examination boards
- Critical Thinking AS
- The Extended Project (EPQ)
-
Personal enrichment activities coveringtwo of: work related learning, community service and personal development.
The Extended Project Qualification
The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is a stand alone qualification. It involves individual research and a presentation. These skills are much valued by universities but there is little opportunity to develop them during A-level courses. Girls have been given lower A-level entry requirements by some top universities with the addition of a good grade in the EPQ.
