Hannah Fox takes on the role of Head at St George’s from September 2025.
She studied Literae Humaniores (Latin and Greek) at Trinity College, Oxford, where she was also a keen rower, coxing both the men’s and women’s 1st VIII's, and the University women’s heavyweight crew at Women's Henley.
Hannah is in her 30th year of teaching and has taught at The King’s School, Gloucester, St Edward’s Oxford, Headington, The School of St Helen and St Katharine and at Winchester College. She also taught undergraduates Latin and Greek at various Oxford Colleges including being a non-stipendiary lecturer at Somerville College.
In 2018 she joined Harrow School as a Classics Master, also serving as Master-in-Charge of Oxbridge and Scholars, and involved in polo (reflecting her love of horses), tennis, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme, and boarding. She was appointed onto the Senior Management Team as Academic and Universities Director in 2021. Hannah is also a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Educators.
She lives on-site at St George's with her three sons, their Stabyhoun, Hebe, and cat, Moppet.
