St George's

We are very proud of the girls’ academic success. The School achieved excellent A Level results in 2017 and the proportion of grades at A* and A was the highest in the last five years.

  • 89% of papers were graded A*-C
  • 42% were awarded A* and A
  • 72% were A*, A and B grades

The breadth of the girls’ achievements is seen in the success of one of our leavers achieving a place to read Veterinary Medicine at Clare College, Cambridge whilst two former pupils will be furthering their artistic talents at Central St Martins. Overall, 58% of our pupils gained admittance to top Russell Group universities.

However, these statistics do not entirely reflect the marked improvement achieved by girls in the Sixth Form. Pupils at St George’s achieve well beyond the academic level that might be expected from baseline testing conducted at 16.
