Our Sports Programme
Sport is delivered through a structured and varied programme across the academic year:
- Autumn Term: Netball and Football
- Spring Term: Netball, with a full fixture programme
- Summer Term: Athletics, Cricket and Tennis
- Year-round: Swimming, fitness training and specialist clubs
Our programme is designed to develop skills progressively, while also fostering teamwork, determination and a strong sense of community.
Competitive Sport & Performance
For those with a passion for competition, St George’s offers a strong fixture list and opportunities to compete at a high level.
Pupils regularly take part in local and regional competitions, with teams achieving success in county events. Performance pathways, such as Performance Swimming Programme, and team squads provide further challenge for talented athletes, supported by experienced coaching staff.
Through competitive sport, girls develop discipline, leadership and the ability to perform with confidence.

Our excellent on-site facilities support both participation and performance, including:
- A 25-metre indoor swimming pool
- Floodlit netball and tennis courts
- A well-equipped fitness suite and gym
- A modern sports hall featuring indoor cricket nets
- Extensive outdoor playing fields
These facilities enable pupils to train, compete and develop their skills in a professional and supportive environment.
Dance & Fitness
Alongside traditional sports, dance and fitness play a central role in our programme. Dance classes are offered in partnership with the Natalie Vinson School of Dance.
Pupils can take part in a wide range of disciplines, including:
- Ballet (Royal Academy of Dance syllabus)
- Contemporary, Tap and Acro
- Pilates and Zumba
- Strength and conditioning
