Hannah Fox, Head

Hannah Fox took on the role of Head at St George’s in September 2025.

She studied Literae Humaniores (Latin and Greek) at Trinity College, Oxford, where she was also a keen rower, coxing both the men’s and women’s 1st VIII's, and the University women’s heavyweight crew at Women's Henley.

Hannah has over 30 years teaching experience and has taught at The King’s School, Gloucester, St Edward’s Oxford, Headington, The School of St Helen and St Katharine and at Winchester College. She also taught undergraduates Latin and Greek at various Oxford Colleges including being a non-stipendiary lecturer at Somerville College.

In 2018 she joined Harrow School as a Classics Master, also serving as Master-in-Charge of Oxbridge and Scholars, and involved in polo (reflecting her love of horses), tennis, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme, and boarding. She was appointed onto the Senior Management Team as Academic and Universities Director in 2021. Hannah is also a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Educators.

She lives on-site at St George's with her three sons, their Stabyhoun, Hebe, and cat, Moppet.

James Anderson, Bursar

James Anderson began his role as Bursar at St George's in May 2020. 

Prior to this he was a senior Army officer in the British Army and joined the School with a wealth of leadership and management experience, both operationally and financially. A former military pilot he has a keen interest in developing high performing teams, strategic planning and safety systems. 

His wider career included positions in media and public relations, international relations, conceptual development and he has studied at the German Armed Forces Staff College in Hamburg and also taught senior managers at the UK Defence Staff College.

Jeremy Hoar, Deputy Head Academic

Jeremy Hoar graduated from Hull University and completed a PGCE at West Sussex Institute of Higher Education (now Chichester University). 

Mr Hoar joined St George’s in 2017 from Farnborough Hill, a Catholic girls’ school in North Hampshire, where he worked for 10 years as Head of History, EPQ Coordinator, Head of Careers and then Assistant Head with responsibility for a wide range of areas within the academic life of the School including the use of ICT to support teaching and learning across the school.

Helen Simpson, Deputy Head Pastoral

Helen Simpson graduated from Exeter University with a PE and Geography teaching degree. 

Before undertaking her role as Deputy Head Pastoral at St George’s she worked and lived at LVS Ascot, a co-educational day and boarding school. Her roles included teaching PE and Geography, Assistant Head of Sixth form and her final role there was running an Intermediate girls boarding house with fifty 11-16 year old girls. 

Outside St George's, Mrs Simpson is a Governor of a girls prep school and lives on site at St George’s with her two children, Albert and Poppy.

Alex Wright, Deputy Head (Co-Curricular and Connections)

Alex Wright graduated from Oxford University and completed a PGCE from the University of Bristol. 

He taught History and Politics, as well as being Head of Year, at the Royal Grammar School, Guildford, before moving on to be the Head of History, Politics and Sociology at the City of London Freemen's School where he was also Head of Sixth Form Careers. From 2007 until 2009 he completed a MA in Imperialism and Postcolonial Studies at Birkbeck College, London. 

Mr Wright arrived at St George's in January 2016 as Assistant Head (Sixth Form) before taking on his current role as Deputy Head (Co-Curricular and Connections) in September 2018.

Mrs Antonia Felix BA (Hons)

Antonia Felix is a Georgian alumna (1992-1999) and studied History at Bristol University before completing a Law conversion course at BPP Law School. She secured a training contract at Mishcon de Reya LLP and remains at the firm as a Partner in the family team, leading the families and individuals' team in the Firm's education group. Antonia is also a Trustee of a charity set up by another Georgian, called FAST UK.  Antonia is married to James and has two daughters.

Dr James M Gibbons BA MPHIL DPHIL

James Gibbons has taught at Eton College since 2002 in the Modern Languages and History departments. He is currently a member of Eton’s Academic Development Committee and Master in Charge of the School Canteen. In 2005 he was commissioned by Cambridge International Examinations to design the Modern Languages Pre-U Examination and he has wide examining experience. Before working at Eton, he lectured in German at Worcester and Pembroke Colleges, Oxford University, taking the post of Sub Dean at Worcester, where he completed his Doctorate in German Literature. He also taught at Latymer Upper School, Hammersmith and L’Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan, Paris.

Mr James Pym, BA (Hons), MEd

James has held a range of differing positions in both the Independent and maintained schools sector for over 20 years, he has a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and is an ISI inspector.

Mr Peter Streatfeild MA

Peter read Law at Cambridge University before qualifying as a solicitor at Freshfields. He was a partner in the firm for over twenty years, specialising in mergers and acquisitions and working in both London and Singapore.  Peter is married to Caroline and has two sons and a daughter who is a St George’s alumna.

Mrs Katie Trueman Alexander BA (Exeter) MLITT (Christie's)

Katie Trueman Alexander is a Georgian Alumnae (2000 – 2006). Katie began her career at Christie’s working in the Estate’s, Appraisals and Valuations team before moving to hold global roles within the Post-War & Contemporary and Private & Iconic departments. Today, she runs an international art advisory company based between London, New York and Palm Beach and specialises in curating art collections and maximising their potential. Katie holds a BA in History from Exeter and a MLitt in History of Art and Art Business from Christie’s Education. Katie is a Founding Member of the V&A Young Patrons Programme and Committee Member for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.

Mrs Charlotte Weaver FCA BA (Hons)

An alumna of the School, Charlotte is a chartered accountant with over 20 years of experience both within audit and industry.  Her sectors of focus have been Telecoms, Logistics and SaaS service businesses, where she has served in several Finance Director roles, building and managing global teams. Currently she is the Worldwide Controller for a US based Telecoms company.  Charlotte completed a BA Hons degree at York University in History and Philosophy. She lives in Hartley Wintney with her husband and two young sons, whose extra curricular sporting commitments take up much of her weekend! Charlotte is an alumna of St George’s Ascot.
