Open Mornings and Upcoming Sixth Form Events

We are always delighted to welcome prospective families to St George’s to our regular, tailored Open Mornings. This academic year, we have chosen to hold more frequent Open Mornings but for a selected number of families each time. These have proven very popular as they offer a more personal experience of our culture, community and environment. Families are clearly enjoying the opportunity to chat with our Head, Miss Hannah Fox, and spend time meeting the staff and girls in less of a crowd, and as our Open Mornings take place within the school day, visitors are able to see the school at work.

We are delighted to offer pupil-led tours of the school, and our Senior Leadership Team is also happy to meet with prospective families either in person or via Zoom as is most convenient. To arrange a private visit or a meeting with the Head, Miss Fox, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Taster Events for girls in Years 5, 6 and 7

Taster days are an excellent opportunity for prospective pupils to come along, get to know us, develop some new friendships and begin to transition into school life. We warmly encourage prospective pupils to take part in at least one taster event and/or a sleepover prior to joining St George’s. Please contact Admissions if you would like to find out more about our termly taster events.

Education Taster Days

St George’s holds a series of optional Education Taster Days once a term. These aim is to give your daughter a chance to supplement her learning with some extension work. These days are normally built around a theme and although are complementary to the curriculum in that they build on the foundations of reading, writing, mathematical concepts or visual representation, they are designed to foster an interest in a subject above that taught on a day to day basis. Pupils on our database and from our local feeder schools are invited by email to come and join us for example to a Science, Art, English or IT day when they are in Years 5, 6 and 7.

Future Georgian Day, held in September of Year 6

Every pupil registered for Year 7 entry will be invited to our 'Future Georgian' Taster Day in the September preceding their year of entry. Not only does this day give your daughter an opportunity to experience the teaching and lessons here at St George’s, it also provides an opportunity to meet other girls who will be in your daughter’s year group and to start making friends. Following registration, girls joining all other year groups may come for a taster day at any time.

Sixth Form Admissions

We are delighted to host an annual Sixth Form Information Evening which takes place early in the autumn term. The Information Evening is a fantastic way to find out what our Sixth Form can offer your daughter and offers a chance to meet some of our current Sixth Formers, senior staff and teachers. You will have the opportunity to speak with key staff members and to discover more about our extensive range of subjects and co-curricular activities.

Boarding Taster Nights

The very best way to really discover what boarding is like at St George’s Ascot is to join us one of our termly boarding taster nights.

Whether an experienced boarder at Prep school or completely new to boarding, our taster nights are a wonderful opportunity for girls to enjoy an evening of fun activities and experience life in one of our cosy boarding houses.

As well as taking part in fun activities, girls will have the chance to have supper, wind down in one of our common rooms with a hot chocolate, meet the Housemistresses and make friends with our current boarders. Please contact Admissions to reserve a place, preference will be given to girls who are registered.

Virtual Open Morning for International Families

We are delighted to offer overseas families the opportunity to join a Virtual International Open Morning.

Parents and prospective pupils will hear from the Head, Miss Hannah Fox, as well as key members of staff from St George's Ascot. Parents will also be able to join a live Q&A where they will be able to put their questions to the Head assisted by some of our international pupils currently on roll.

Our next Virtual Open Morning will be held Autumn 2025.
