Trips

Learning without limits.

Some of the most memorable moments at St George's happen beyond the classroom. Whether exploring Costa Rica, performing in Europe, skiing in the Alps or visiting London's museums, every trip is designed to broaden horizons, build confidence and create lifelong memories.

Curriculum Trips

Learning extends far beyond the classroom at St George's. Throughout the year, pupils take part in curriculum trips that deepen their understanding, spark curiosity and bring their studies to life through real-world experiences.

Whether analysing geographical landscapes during fieldwork, exploring world-class art galleries, attending theatre productions, visiting universities or taking part in hands-on science experiences, every trip is carefully planned to enrich classroom learning and inspire new ways of thinking.

These experiences encourage pupils to ask questions, make connections and develop a deeper appreciation of their subjects. By seeing concepts in action and engaging with experts, artefacts and environments first-hand, pupils return to the classroom with greater confidence, fresh perspectives and lasting memories.

From local day visits to residential field courses, curriculum trips are an integral part of a St George's education, helping every pupil develop a lifelong love of learning.

Adventure & Outdoor Learning

Adventure helps pupils grow in confidence, resilience and independence. From residential trips and Duke of Edinburgh's Award expeditions to skiing and outdoor team-building activities, pupils are encouraged to embrace new experiences, work together and step beyond their comfort zones. In September, every year group enjoys an excursion to help integrate the cohort at the start of a new academic year.

Sports Tours

Sports tours give pupils the opportunity to develop their skills, strengthen team bonds and experience competition beyond school. From netball and hockey tours to swimming camps and international competitions, pupils can challenge themselves in new environments while sharing memorable experiences with their teammates.
