Today we are celebrating the remarkable achievements of our Year 11 pupils, who have delivered fantastic GCSE results this year, marking one of the School’s strongest performances to date.
An impressive 43% of all GCSEs were awarded at Grade 9 and 8 (the equivalent of an A*), placing this year’s cohort as the highest-achieving Georgians in recent history.
What makes this achievement all the more inspirational is that this was the first year group to begin their secondary education during the disruption of the COVID pandemic. With excellent teaching, tailored support and the encouragement of their families and the whole school community, the girls have risen to the challenge and secured results that demonstrate both their hard work and their resilience.
Reflecting on their success, Miss Hannah Fox, Head of St George’s Ascot from September 2025, said, “I could not be prouder of the girls. These results are a wonderful reflection of their determination, hard work and the outstanding support of their teachers. They also represent the encouragement, curiosity and joy that run through our community. Every girl at St George’s is known, supported and encouraged to aim high. These results are a powerful testament to that approach. I am so excited to see them take their next steps into Sixth Form, where they will continue to flourish, embrace new opportunities and grow in confidence. We are celebrating each and every one of them today.”
As the girls look ahead, many will be returning to St George’s in September to begin their Sixth Form journey. With the chance to pursue their chosen A-Levels, take on leadership roles, and embrace the wider opportunities of school life, the future promises to be every bit as exciting as their achievements today. We look forward to seeing them in September.
