Community is a large part of what it means to be a St George’s girl, and we are incredibly proud of the partnerships that grow stronger each year.
The Independent Schools Council (ISC) Partnerships Week is celebrated once a year, but our community action is a year round initiative. Each week our pupils visit local primary schools to support literacy initiatives by listening to children read, just one example of the many ways we connect with and contribute to our partners.
At St George’s, our close-knit network, extensive facilities, and even bigger heart reflect a deep commitment to making a real difference. Our partnerships programme is built on meaningful, reciprocal relationships that benefit both our pupils and those in our local community.
Every year, St George’s girls have supported more than 1,000 children through initiatives in literacy, oracy, science, sport and the arts. Highlights include science workshops, cricket tournaments, swimming galas and our ever-popular pantomime.
Our partnerships thrive thanks to the passion of our staff and pupils, they make the magic happen.
Mrs Nichola Anderson, Head of Partnerships and Outreach
This week, our school production of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland welcomed pupils from local primary schools as part of this programme. The cast delivered a joyful, immersive performance complete with Mad Hatter’s Tea Party tables, giving our young visitors a truly memorable experience.
We would also like to extend our thanks to Sainsbury’s Ascot and Fego Ascot for their generous donations of cakes and biscuits for our partnerships performances. Their support added an extra layer of magic to the event, helping to make the show even more enjoyable for the junior school children who joined us.
