St George’s is proud to be shortlisted in the 'Best Use of Technology' category of the Times Educational Supplement awards for 2022

In the last eighteen months, St George’s has continued to hone and develop the use of technology in the classroom, with a high standard of competence and a widespread confidence in the use of Google for Education evident throughout the whole School community.  Being shortlisted for an award from a prestigious educational institution such as TES is welcome recognition of the hard work of Mrs Pierre, the Learning Innovation Lead, and the ICT Steering Committee in pioneering such dynamic progress.

The School’s technological focus has been thorough: training all teaching staff to Level 1 Google Educator status, educating a team of pupils - the SGA Googlies - towards an SGA diploma and to ultimately act as peer mentors, recruiting a group of Lower Sixth IT ambassadors to help steer the St George’s digital strategy and continually building a strong portfolio of evidence for the School’s application for Google Reference status.

There is much technological progress to celebrate at the School and our fingers are crossed that St George’s will be announced as winner at the TES Awards ceremony in June.
